‘They are gone, Sirius. Both of them.’
Sirius blinked rapidly, nervously shaking his head.
‘Gone? You mean… hiding again, right? Why didn’t James tell me that they need to find a new place? I would help…’
‘Not hiding. Dead.’
This was the moment when the whole world stopped turning and blood in his veins seemed to freeze.
‘Dead?’ Dumbledore nodded. ‘No… They can’t be dead.’
And what I love about the kissing Jily in the POA photo
Is that they broke apart right when Harry looked.
It’s like they thought, “Oh shit, our kid’s looking abort mission, look innocent, dance and twirl dance and twirl.”
Perfect parents.
*note:excuse the crookidness and the year i might have gotten wrong and forgot to put the 19 in front.
Day 2: The Moment The Shipping Began
“You wouldn’t happen to know who it is, would you?” I asked, once I had regained my lost composure. James just shrugged, obviously disliking the topic. It was then I remembered that, even through all his troublemaking faults, James had also been one of the main candidates for Head Boy, and I instantly felt horrid for bringing it up.
“I do know one thing though,” he’d said rather quietly. “Whoever he is, he sure is one lucky bloke,”
“Why’s that?” I asked stupidly. It was obvious James had wanted to be Head Boy and was mourning the loss of the position.
At least, I thought he was.
“Well,” he answered very softly, taking a step closer to me. “He gets to work with you, doesn’t he?”

James and Lily Potter with the Order of the Phoenix
Whatever else this may turn out to be, it is first and foremost a love story. It is the story of how a boy and a girl came to be—and then to realize that they were—in love with one another. You see, it is probable that falling in love was the most important thing that they ever accomplished, and they accomplished a number of quite important things. He was James, and she was Lily, and one day they shared a kiss, but before that they shared many arguments, for he was cocky, and she was sweet, and matters of the heart can require time.
There’s someone I’ve been missing
I think that they could be
The better half of me.
In the last moments of her life, several images flashed through Lily’s mind. A flower transforming colours in the palm of her hand as a child. Days by the lake with her friends in her Hogwarts years. Her first date with James at Hogsmeade while it snowed. A family dinner with her parents and Tuney. Tears in James and hers’ eyes as he held out a ring and asked her to be his wife. Their first dance as a married couple. Holding Harry in her arms for the first time, and knowing that no matter what, she’d always keep him safe. The first time Lily and James fell asleep with Harry safe between them. Her last kiss with James. Her last gaze into Harry’s emerald green eyes. And then it was over.
Ever fancied someone you know you shouldn’t? (★)
